(EINDHOVEN, THE NETHERLANDS) January 14, 2025 – Altum RF and The Antenna Company are proud to announce an exciting milestone in our collaboration on the A-3 Project (Amplifier and Antenna Co-Design for Next Generation Telecommunication Applications).
This project is made possible by Metropoolregio Eindhoven, which fosters innovation and collaboration between startups and SMEs in the Eindhoven and Brainport region. 🙌
Through our joint efforts, we’ve successfully developed two antenna array prototypes paired with dedicated high-frequency amplifiers aimed at next-generation Wi-Fi and 5G millimeter-wave technologies. 🌐📶
Key Innovations in the A-3 Project:
- Antenna-Amplifier Co-Design: By jointly designing the antenna arrays and amplifiers for high radio frequencies (≥6 GHz), we’ve achieved remarkable performance enhancements, improving both efficiency and interface.
- New Antenna Array Development: The use of LTCC technology in antenna arrays improves heat management while enabling optimized designs in terms of RF performance and scan range up to
60 degrees with reduced losses.
The Results: We’ve successfully created two prototypes tailored for Wi-Fi (5.785 GHz) and 5G mmWave (28 GHz) applications, achieving excellent radiation patterns and power-added efficiency. These innovations bring us a step closer to unlocking the full potential of next-gen telecommunications.
