Aerospace & Defense (A&D) systems require high-performance products for applications such as active electronically scanned array (AESA) and phased-array RADAR, broadband communications, electronic warfare (EW), and missile guidance. AESA RADAR applications have expanded in recent years to cover both short-range systems for detecting birds, drones, and UAVs for both civilian and defense needs and long-range phased-array RADARs for detecting hypersonic defense threats.
Altum RF offers integrated front-end ICs (FEICs) for AESA systems requiring cost-effective, small-footprint solutions for high element count arrays. EW applications need both wide-band low-power amplifiers for detecting signals and high-power amplifiers for jamming unwanted systems.
Altum RF offers a variety of GaAs and GaN products which meet these market requirements while considering component SWaP-C (size, weight, power, and cost). Altum RF also focuses on meeting the harsh environmental requirements for many A&D applications in terms of temperature, moisture, and ruggedness requirements.
